Description
The Small Abacus is a helping aid for children in solving simple addition and subtraction problems. Fitted with 2 horizontal metal rods with a total of 20 counters, children use it individually to work out addition and subtraction up to 20. By using the Small Abacus children learn that numbers consist out of doubles (i.e. 1 and 1 = 2 and so on) and they become familiar with the five and ten structure. Using the Abacus builds reasoning and memorization skills.
